RUST AND DECAY

Our world is not always nice and pretty. Things that have outlived their usefulness are discarded. Some go to the dump, some get recycled and some are discarded and left to rust away. Today’s post is a request from longtime ODDMAN viewer, Lee C., who happens to like images of things that are rusting. I used to work for a prospecting company (diamonds) during my university summers and we would often come across abandoned silver mines in Cobalt, Ontario¬† Canada (see: Silver mines in Cobalt). It was wonderful to see the old equipment that was just left to rot after the silver played out. We had to be careful because there were/are a lot of cave-ins as the timbers had rotted out. So here’s to Lee C. ODDMAN’s reporter at large in England. It’s about Rust and Decay.

Great post, I liked the old seeder? I think, just above the typewriter. Keep up the good work and stay warm, could barely see the neighbors house yesterday the way the snow was comeing down.

There is something truthful about rust. It’s the death of many metals, the circle of life and returning to where it came from, the earth.
