Sometimes it’s good to take a look back at where we came from. Today is one such day. Kickin’ It Old School. Have fun.

Am an avid follower of your site and rarely comment on any site, but you have disappointed, and offended me with your inclusion of the poster for the communist, TRAITOR s**t, Hanoi Jane Fonda. Yes, I am a Viet Nam veteran and still feel very strongly that Hanoi Jane should have been tried for treason for her actions dieting the war. Thank you for your excellent site and keep up the “Odd”
Sorry if the poster for Barbarella offended you, but it was a funny and campy film back in the day. The politics of Jane Fonda I leave to others such as yourself to discuss. I’m a Canadian so I really don’t understand the anger over her as I was too young to comprehend it. Even in her 70’s she can still stir controversy.
I’m glad that you enjoy the site and there will be more pictures that stir controversy. Not all comments make it on to the blog as some are really rather graphic. Those, if they’ve left a real e-mail address, I answer privately. It can be absolutely amazing how brave some people are when they won’t leave their name and e-mail. I receive a fair number of insults from people who hide behind the anonymity of the web.
Thanks for commenting. It is appreciated.
Jim, it’s time. It’s time to grow the hell up. If you actually are a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, then you are old enough to understand that showing a picture of a movie poster from nearly 50 years ago is not the same as betraying the United States into the hands of the commies. Get a grip on yourself. You people who continue to obsess over her seem to believe that the rest of the world must tiptoe around you and make sure that you never ever see an image of her or hear her name mentioned or else you’ll hold your widdle breath and stamp your widdle feet until we give in to your demands. In all your hysteria you forget that suppressing other people’s actions in publishing a picture, mentioning her name or admitting her existence is UN-AMERICAN! It’s a violation of rights. You are not called upon to agree with everything Jane Fonda says or does. Nobody is forcing you to change your life, but you sure as hell don’t mind trying to force others to accommodate you! Like it or not, Jane Fonda was exercising her rights as an American, speaking out against an unjust, ill-advised and un-winnable war. Isn’t that what you people like to pretend you were defending in Vietnam, even though Vietnam was no threat to the United States? You snivel and cry that seeing a picture of a poster for a forgettable Jane Fonda movie is a personal affront to you and oh-boo-hoo! you are mortally offended but this site’s operator should have his OWN RIGHTS OF FREE SPEECH VIOLATED by being forced to acquiesce to your petty little demands. Think about this: since the US so miserably coughed up that war and the Communists took over all of North and South Vietnam, have they come after us? Have they ever once been a threat to us, The American Way, Mom, apple pie or town picnics on the Fourth of July? The US lost in Vietnam and it had not one thing to do with anything Jane Fonda said or did. Ask your buddy John McCain about all the information he gave up so he could secure himself special privileges not offered to his fellow prisoners. Maybe something HE said is what did it.
Looking at your site once again, which has become almost a daily religious experience. Noticed the Harleys, then the Blues Brothers and thought I would pass on a bit of trivia:
The Bluesmobile’s license plate number is Illinois BDR 529. The letters & numbers in the license plate refer to a bike club in Dan Aykroyd’s home turf of Toronto, the “Black Diamond Riders”. The clubhouse was located at that city’s 529 Jarvis Street.
These pics are amazing. i will share them on my blog here:http://cihanozani.livejournal.com
