Welcome to Part 2 of today’s postings. Grab another coffee, a fresh bacon & maple doughnut and sit right back and fixate on that computer screen. You know you want too…

The lady with the glow stick didle kinda freaked me out a little
Well I used the word Dilde instead of Dildo because I was trying to keep it more clean. But I guess given the GIF itself that is really no point in that anymore
The reason I like it here (comfortable chair, drinking coffee, good company) is that the posts make me think about things as I have not before. Or maybe they make me rethink things. The Reagan Years, I remember them as a great period in American history. It reminds me that Harry Truman was absolutely HATED at the end of his term as President. Everyone loathed the man. Yet today he is classified as one of the best Presidents ever. It makes me wonder, in 50 years will George W. Bush be remembered as a great President? Will Obama? Will Trump for that matter? Only time will tell.
Another thing that today’s posts made me think about was brought on by the drawing of the difference between the sides of the barbed wire topped wall. We (me included) tell people that they need to get involved, write congressmen and senators, do something instead of just sitting and posting our likes and whatnot on Facebook. As a result we have a good country. Why don’t other countries do the same? If things are so bad that you want to move to another country just to get out, why not change things where you live and stay put? I’m not saying that immigrants should stay where they are and stop coming here, just thinking. It seems to me that people as a whole have decided that running away is now the best option. What happened to taking a stand, making a stand, and fighting for what you know is right?
On the bright side, I love the “Will Love For Food” dog. Aren’t all dogs like that? I know I love my dogs. I have two miniature Dachshunds, Denny and Ted, and they are just wonderful to be around every day. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart. The boys can tear something up and get yelled at, but when I sit down they are ready to leap into my lap and nuzzle with me and show that they love me even though they just got yelled at or spanked in severe cases. Unconditional love is what dogs offer and I am thankful for them.
Good points Jeff.
When it comes to Presidents, or many other things for that matter, I think the end results for history boils down to selling the product and in these cases the product is a person. From my perspective Regan, like many others, did both good and bad things….successes and failures. If I were you I wouldn’t put good money on Bush or the present day ******* in office. Obama has a chance but he was never able to put through everything he wanted to do. Anyhow……we’ll discuss it in 50 years.
The barbed wire thing…..well I think one really has to live in other people’s shoes to understand their need to escape and find a better life. To the average person what can they really do if they are fighting for instance a corrupt government, corrupt police, or well armed and without conscience drug cartels? For some the fighting is who they are. I come from a long line of revolutionaries, hunted by the law, condemned by the ruling class of invaders, but after 400 years….we won. It cost a lot….lives, happiness, futures. But there were also those who just had to escape and we understood that as well. Not everyone can deal with being thrown in jail, or seeing your family torn apart, or torture, or dealing with death…..and they cannot be criticized for that. More of us living in relative peace and with roofs over our heads and clean water to drink and an abundance of food…..really need to spend some time in refugee camps, or leave the comforts of resort areas and live amongst the people of a country where they live in fear on a constant basis and the same stream they take water out of is downstream from the toilets of others. Life is too short and passes all tooooo fast. For those who can stay and fight or make changes, more power to them. For those who have to leave…..it is what they have to do.
I see where you are coming from Deacon, I don’t judge people, just accept them for the most part. I wish all people were like that. I’m not always successful in that endeavor but I do try hard. I know I have been judged based on the beliefs and choices of other people. I have been called names just because I have tattoos for example. When I was younger I tried to adhere to the “No tattoos showing” rule for business advancement. But as I have aged I have decided that I am who I am and if you don’t like it I don’t care. So I went and had a full sleeve done on my right arm. I have seen the disdain and judgmental expressions on different faces as a result.
I agree that since I have never had to live in a situation such as those you mention, I can’t really understand what the people are going through or their thoughts on the matter. There are also many different cultures and belief systems in place around the world that don’t mesh with the American views of what is right and wrong. I try to overlook those as well. If I were raised in that situation I would undoubtedly be the same way. Religion is just the same for me. Religion is largely based on geography anyway. I was born in Indiana, so I was raised as a Methodist and later became a Presbyterian. People born in Italy are most likely going to be Catholic. That’s why I don’t understand fighting about religion, it wasn’t really your “choice”, just the culture you were born into. In most cases that is, not all.
The tax picture is so true expect for the part of the nice looking guy stealing your fancy drink from you. lol
Halloween is the best!
Adam and Eve had pizza cutters then that means they had pizza in the garden of Eden, which means they could have had a forever supply of pizza! 0-0 This changes everything! 😉 LOL
Have a good one,
